Brackley Festival Of Food Brackley Community Carnival Committee added another event to the calandar for 2008. MAIN SPONSOR ![]() TOWCESTER We organised the 'Brackley Festival of Food' for Saturday 26th April at the Town Hall and outside on the Piazza. The event took place from 9.30am - 4pm. Waitrose at Towcester kindly sponsored the event and they were there on the day giving out goodie bags. It was a beautiful day and the event went very well. Plenty of people came down on the day to support the event which local companies and organisations had been invited to take part in. It was the first time Brackley had held a Festival of Food. Traders were able to sell their produce, offer samples and promote their business's. Boycott Farm and Belflare Chocolates both did talks on the day and Boycott Farm also did a Burger Making Demostration. The local schools were also invited to take part in a 'Novalty Cake Decorating Competition', which was judged on the day by Mayoress Debbi Parry, Deputy Mayor Kevin Dixon and Susan Congerton from Waitrose. The theme was 'The British Isles'. Also on the day was a Raffle, with first prize being supplied by Waitrose. Boycott Farm did a BBQ and the Army Cadet's cooked Army Food for everyone to try. St John Ambulance Cadets were serving Tea and Hand Made Biscuits from 10am to 12.30pm and the 5th Brackley Brownies were serving Cream Tea's between 2pm and 4pm in the Town Hall.
