Events of the day The theme for this year's Carnival is 'Fairy Tales'. The day will start with Carnival Procession which travels along Brackley High Street from Brackley Sawmills. The procession will be led by our new Mayor, CllrTheo Hayward. Amoungst the procession will be walking groups from our local schools, clubs and organisations and the Derby Midshipmen Band and the Majestic UK Youth Marching Band will also be performing. The procession will leave Brackley Sawmills at 11am and will reach the show ground 'Magdalen College St John's Site' at approximately 11.45am. The gates will open at 12 noon. We have lot's of things booked for the day, the Six-a-side Football will be back by popular demand and then we have lot's of entertainment booked for the day for both adults and children to enjoy. The Community Arena has also been arranged again. Starlight Dance Academy, Moylan Dance School, Wade Gymnastics, Delepre Majorettes and Brackley Zumba will all be taking part. This year we also have a Band Stand where Brackley Music School, The Shady Bunch and Brackley Jazz Band will be performing. The Fun Fair, the Dog Show, and the Bouncy Castles will all be back along with the Commercial and Charity Stalls, so we hope you will all come along and support the day! Moto Stunt International ![]() Moto Stunt International Moto Stunts international was formed in 1977 by three ex-army motorcycle display team riders. They have appeared in several television programmes such 'Not the Nine O'clock News' and 'Game for a Laugh'. They are in the Guinness Book of World Records for having 22 men on one motorcycle which took place at Santa Pod. Over the years they have been known to jump over cars, double decker buses, people and through walls of fire. The team perform 25-30 shows a year up and down the country. The Derby Midshipmen Band ![]() The Derby Midshipmen Band The Derby Midshipmen Band was first set up in 1935 and apart from a break between 1939 and 1947 due to the out break of war the band has been together every since. Currently there are 30 performers and over the year's they have won almost every major trophy at numerous contests and championships. Ark Farm ![]() Ark Farm Ark Farm are based in Bedford. They are a mobile farm which travels in a 30 mile radius of Bedford visting schools and playgroups. They are a hands on educational unit and will bring with them rabbits, chickens, sheep, lambs, pigs, piglets, ducks and guinea pigs for you to pet. Bozo and Zizi ![]() With Freddie the Fire Engine Bozo and Zizi with Freddie the Fire Engine Bozo and Zizi started performing together in 1982. They also own a tempremental fire engine called 'Freddie', which seems to have a mind of it's own. It's a great show for young and old, as Freddie chugs and explodes it's way around the arena, chasing the two clowns Chester's Fun Time Show ![]() Chesters Fun Time Show Chester Mazing the magical clown has been entertaining young and old up and down the country for many years. Chester's show includes crazy games, ballon animals, juggling and comical capers. The English School of Falconary The English School of Falconary are based in Bedfordshire. At their Bird of Prey Centre near Biggleswade, they have over 200 birds. They also run activity days and courses, with their owls, eagles and hawks. The centre is open all your round and you have the chance to meet the birds, watch the flying display and have a go at flying an owl or hawk yourself. |
